Las Palmas in downtown Miami is a hidden gem--so tucked away, you might pass it twice before realizing it's the spot you've been searching for. The food? Excellent. The staff? Warmer than your abuela when you finally return her missed calls . Their food is always great. And on Fridays? The have a smash burger on their menu, which is the top smash burger I've had in Miami. You would not expect this from a Latin restaurant. All of their other food is great as well. Highly recommend!

Stumbled around this little restaurant while searching for lunch for a day in Miami. We wanted Cuban food and this was perfect. It was lunch time and the place was actually empty so we were skeptical but gave it a try anyways. Definitely looks like a family owned and family-run restaurant. The menu has a lot of choices. I believe the main dishes were only available for dinner so we went with the breakfast and lunch option. Steak, egg, toast, coffee- hubby got this breakfast special and the portion was huge! Look at the plate. It was a big slice of steak, 2 eggs (scrambled) fries, a side of bread and a cup of coffee. We could have totally shared the one entree and be full for 2 people! The price definitely beats the portion. Steak sandwich- I got the sandwich which was also big in portion. It came with chips fries on top. The sandwich had onions and lettuce, tomatoes. It may not be the tastiest meal but it def satisfied our belly and our wallet. The service was great. The guy who took our order was very nice and the lady seems like she didn't speak a lot of English. The food was not salty so more on the bland side so you can definitely dress it up with sauce. We would definitely stop by here again if in town to try their dinner menu. Price definitely is great for budget friendly people :)

this is the kind of local small hole in the wall restaurants that yelp helps you find! It's a small place in the heart of downtown Miami Brazilian family run business. You don't come here for the ambience, should come here for some dang good food! We started with some café con Leche, and then got a Cubano with fries for our meal. It's good of a Cuban sandwiches you'll find anywhere! Small place with grapefruit food and great service. Give it a try!

Randomly popped into this hole in the wall and let me tell you - their pan con bistec was the best I've had in a long time. It was juicy and tender and made to absolute perfection. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! Will definitely return!

I was surprised my the 1 star reviews as I've never had issues with ordering or service here. They have a great breakfast special that my coworkers and I like to take advantage of. If you order ahead on DoorDash you can essentially skip the long coffee run line in the morning, lol.

Miami is changing and Las Palmas represents the old downtown past but in a good way. I ordered a Cuban coffee with sugar which was a mere 90 cents. That is old downtown Miami. The Cafe certainly is not upscale but it is a place to find some Cuban nibbles and you do not want to pass on the Cuban coffee.
